History on the Road Program

Mission

With the acquisition of a 1921 Ford Model T Depot Hack vehicle, the Crawford County Historical Society(CCHS) is bringing history to every corner of the county.

“Lizzy,” as named by its previous owner, was restored between 2012 and 2014 by John McClausland, a retired high school industrial arts teacher from Jamestown, Pennsylvania, with his wife Ruth.

“Lizzie” helps the CCHS expand awareness and relevance to the whole community it serves, all of Crawford County, not just the town of Meadville, where it’s headquarters is located.
